On 23 March 2020, Finance Minister, Grant Robertson announced that the Government would be moving to temporarily freeze rent increases. This decision, aiming to reduce stress and fear for tenants who are struggling financially, has been largely backed by the rental industry. For Quinovic clients, this means that any rent increases yet to come into effect will be put on hold.
