Kiwis re-emerging from lockdown

After almost 50 days in lockdown, New Zealand emerged from Level 3 and into Level 2 on 14th May 2020. Lockdown and the COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching consequences on New Zealand businesses and our communities. We’re heartened by the incredible effort put in by all Kiwis since March, coming together to beat Coronavirus. Alert Level 2 places importance on social distancing and other precautionary measures, whilst allowing many businesses to reopen, people to reconnect with family and friends, and with caution, more domestic travel. Official guidance around what Level 2 means for us can be found at the official COVID-19 NZ website.

Property viewings now easier

While tenants were able to move in and out of rental properties with additional precautionary measures during Level 4 and 3, Level 2 will open up in-person viewings of vacant properties - a welcome development for owners and people seeking rental accommodation. Viewings will still need to adhere to a strict policy of social distancing of at least 2 metres, with surface sanitisation, personal hygiene and contact tracing health measures required.

At Quinovic, we continue to adhere to government guidelines as we do our part along with everyone else. Our property managers have been busy ensuring that both our owners and our customers are kept up to date. With the job losses that have come with COVID-19, we understand that incomes have been affected. We encourage those affected to seek government assistance and to talk to their property manager.

During the lockdown, Quinovic property managers have been hard at work managing properties remotely and we would like to thank everyone for their support during this period.  Our physical locations are able to be open at the discretion of each franchise, so reach out to your local Quinovic office to confirm the best way to communicate during Level 2.
