September marked the start of spring and some positive movements for New Zealand. As a nation, we pulled together again and were able to lower our COVID-19 alert levels to 2 in Auckland and 1 throughout the rest of the country. Much of New Zealand has seen more sunshine and started to feel warmer temperatures, a welcome change after what has felt like a very long winter.
For property owners and renters, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing with demand for housing and rentals increasing once again. The Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2020 has also brought out strong opinions in the rental industry with many property owners concerned about the impending changes.
